The action and tension of this drama has greatly reduced from the beginning, however, I actually find it more enjoyable as we get to see more buildup of the characters and get more details and flavour of how everything is intertwined. I find watching the character development in this drama more enjoyable than seeing Tae Sul and Seo Hae being chased by the Control Bureau. In this week’s episode, in addition to finding out how our protagonists can save the world and fight against the villains, the main highlight is the budding relationship between Tae Sul and Seo Hae. Let’s look at 3 moments where we see Tae Sul and Seo Hae’s relationship started to bloom.
#1 Amusement park
It’s Seo Hae’s birthday and Tae Sul takes her to the amusement park as gratitude for her protection and to fulfill her childhood dream. However, it doesn’t seem like he just went there as a form of gratitude. He was willing to put down his pride and wear a tiger headband (a pretty childish thing for playboy Han Tae Sul) at the request of Seo Hae and went on rides with her, despite knowing that he won’t feel well afterwards. Tae Sul was smiling the whole time at the amusement park. He definitely had a great time and seeing this budding relationship brought some joy to my heart while our main characters took some reset from saving the world.
#2 Control Bureau Rescue
Seo Hae was captured by the Control Bureau and Tae Sul hacks his way into their headquarters to save her. Throughout their escape, each time Tae Sul and Seo Hae were surrounded by the Control Bureau, he would shield her with his whole body to protect her. We can see that their relationship has grown to an understanding that they will always be there to save and protect each other no matter what.
#3 Seo Hae vs Sigma
At the amusement park, Sigma calls Tae Sul and asks if he will choose Seo Hae or save the world as Seo Hae has been reported to the Control Bureau. Though we know that Tae Sul is going to be a hero in the drama but he is an imperfect hero. He will choose his loved ones over saving the world, as evidenced in episode 5 where he briefly parted ways with Seo Hae in an attempt to find his brother over saving the world. Similarly, in this instance, Tae Sul chose Seo Hae over Sigma. Over time, Seo Hae has become an important part of Tae Sul’s life and he cannot risk losing her.
As we have past the mid mark of this drama, how are you anticipating the drama to end? Will Tae Sul and Seo Hae be able to save the world? If they do, then the future Seo Hae will disappear 😦 Let us know your thoughts below!
