The final two episodes of the drama will be airing next week. This week’s episodes have built us up for some tension for the face off between Tae Sul and Sigma. Instead of highlighting some of the moments and scenes from this week’s episode, let’s take a look at what to expect in the final week.
#1 The ending
The first thing that comes to mind when we think of the finale is if there will be a happy, sad or open ended ending. Definitely would hope for a happy ending where Sigma gets defeated, the war gets stopped and Tae Sul and Seo Hae continue to live happily together. However, one question that continues to persist since the first episode of the drama is if Sigma is defeated, it may possibly mean that the uploader was never invented. If that’s the case, then the future is changed and the grown up Seo Hae would never have appeared in Tae Sul’s life. I hope that we can see our protagonists have a happy ending and end up walking down the aisle, like the photo that Tae Sul found in his brother’s camera.
#2 Han Tae Sul re-invents the uploader
One of the theories for a happy ending is for Tae-Sul to re-invent the uploader. When he was a kid, he wanted to create a time machine that will bring him back to the past to meet his parents. However, after his timeline traversing experience in episodes 11 and 12, he may have already let go of these sorrows and Seo Hae may now be the most important person to him. It’s possible that he could re-invent the uploader to travel to the future instead of the past. This re-invention can bring a happy ending to the drama as Sigma would have never been able to come back to the past and explode a bomb to destroy Korea. Tae Sul can also travel the uploader to the future and live happily with grown up Seo Hae. Definitely hoping for a typical happy ending.
#3 Eddy Kim turns his back against Sigma
In addition to predicting the final ending, there is a possibility that the writers will give Eddy Kim a bit more importance to this role in the finale. We have not been introduced to the future Eddy Kim nor know what happened to him when the war broke out, so it would be nice to meet future Eddy in the finale. As we have learned in early episodes, people take the uploader because they had regrets in the past. This may also be the case for future Eddy and he may come back to turn things around. Instead of helping Sigma to finish building the uploader, he may join forces with Tae Sul to defeat Sigma and possibly be the key to helping Tae Sul re-invent the uploader.
#4 Jae Sun to the rescue
Jae Sun has played a minor role throughout the drama but it feels like the writers have created his existence for something important at the end. He is willing to do anything to help Seo Hae and he may be one of the keys to helping Seo Hae and Tae Sul change the future. At the beginning of the drama, both Tae Sul and Seo Hae were supposed to be killed on their wedding day. I hope that this time around, Jae Sun can somehow get in involved and come to their rescue, thus marking a successful change to the future.
