What are we without our friends?
From BTS’ V and Jimin to Goblin’s Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook, it’s heartwarming to see our favorite idols and actors have fun outside their hectic schedules. One could only imagine how difficult the Korean entertainment industry is without someone to lean on when things get rough. Despite being in different groups, these idols and actors someone managed to become best friends.

Friendship Parkas
Known as Parka Squad or Friendship Parkas by their fans, this crew is home to BTS’ Jimin, SHINee’s Taemin, Wanna One’s Ha Sungwoon, EXO’s Kai, HOTSHOT’s Timoteo, VIXX’s Ravi, and their non-celebrity friend, Jung Kwon Ho. They met as trainees and have supported each other since. You can occasionally spot this crew in their custom self-designed parkas gifted by Taemin.
BlackPink Besties
Not so much a squad, but we adore the real-life besties of BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Rosé.
Rosé and Oh My Girl’s Hyeri met on tvN’s “Amazing Saturday,” in 2018, and have been attached at the hip ever since. You can catch the two regularly showing up on each other’s Instagram, sending support to one another filming sets, and more.
Jennie and Jung Ho Yeon bumped into each other backstage during Chanel’s showing at Paris Fashion Week and hit it off. The two started regularly hanging out back in Korea, finding a common bond in their closeness in age and working in the same industry.
‘97 Liners
Call us biased, but this is probably our favorite all idol squad on the list. Consisting of BTS’ Jungkook, ASTRO’s Eunwoom Seventeen members Mingyu, DK, and The8, GOT7 members Bambam and Yugyeom of GOT7, and NCT’s Jaehyun this crew has been known to grab a bite, go in on special birthday gifts, and more. Here’s hoping we see this crew out together soon!
Thai Idols
As the name implies, this friendship squad is made up of Thai nationals. The group consists of BLACKPINK’s Lisa, NCT’s Ten, GOT7’s Bambam, CLC’s Sorn, and (G)I-DLE’s Minnie. While you may assume they met and befriend one another in Korea, besties Bambam and Lisa have known each other since childhood.
The English Speakers
This epic group consists of idols who aren’t just fluent in English, they were also born in the United States. As you can imagine there’s never a dull moment with this squad that consists of Eric Nam, BtoB’s Peniel, Amber, Ailee, and U-Kiss’s Kevin Wu. Wooga Squad
This crew needs no introduction. This handsome squad consists of BTS’ V, actors Park Hyung Sik, Park Seo Joon, Choi Woo Shik, and singer Peakboy. They regularly support each other’s projects on Instagram, get visibly excited when they see each other at award shows and have been known to vacation together as well. We hope we get a Wooga squad reunion vacation soon!
